Merthyr Dyfan church is dedicated to St Dyfan, who, tradition relates, was sent to Wales by Pope Eleutherius in 180 A.D. Celtic churches existed at this site from c.600 A.D. This medieval building is the last surviving remnant of the medieval village of Merthyr Dyfan. Its beauty and presence are captivating and the sense of peace inside is deeply moving.
